Currently we are accepting LIHEAP Spring Subsidy Energy Assistance applications. This phase is a one-time assistance for any heating source.
To be eligible for LIHEAP Spring Subsidy, you must be at or below the 150% poverty level. If you do not have electric service, bring a piece of unopened, first class mail to verify service address. If you were served during the LIHEAP Crisis Phase, you may still apply during LIHEAP Spring Subsidy if you meet program eligibility.
Currently all LIHEAP offices will accept walk-in clients in accordance with CDC guidelines. Appointments can also be made via phone. Applicants will be required to either upload the documents using this website OR drop off all required documents in a secure drop box at the LIHEAP office selected using the phone appointments. If you are unable to make copies of your documentation, please contact our office in advance of your appointment time.
We will need a signed application and all required documents to complete your application. Please make sure that you upload your documents using this website or drop off in a secure drop box at the location you selected for the appointment at least 24 hours prior to your appointment date and time. On the date & time of your appointment, either arrive at your selected office or if using telephone appointment, a LIHEAP staff member will contact you to let you know the status of your application.
